Catch-n-Release(C&R) and Tag-n-Release(T&R) is vital to protect our resources
We encourage our customers to release all halibut, especially the fish over 50 pounds this way we will preserve the Halibut that breed, so that generations to come will be able to enjoy the great halibut fishing that Norway has to offer.
In collaboration with the Norwegian Institute of Marin Research we also participate in a tagging project in which some of the released fish are tagged. Data is then collected from tagged fish that are caught again which allows the scientist to keep track of the halibut migration pattern.
